Wallace Family Reunion

Dave's family gets together once a year on his aunt's home in the country. It is beautiful up there! We love the drive in the country and the kids love to fish up in Aunt Becky's pond. There were also a couple rounds of Hillbilly Golf and the bean bag toss. It was great to see everyone!

Sleeping Beauty ***Updated***

By 10 o'clock this morning it had already been a long day. Aurora had her MRI today. (She is having some nerve issues--feet, hands falling asleep a lot--they are just making sure nothing major happened in her head or neck.) They had to put her to sleep. She did so well and was so very brave. She is such a strong girl. When our Sleeping Beauty finally awoke I had no idea what I was in for! The poor child has been so out of it. She has made us smile all day and kept us on our toes! She will not sit still but cannot stand on her feet (for more than a minute!) so it has been interesting! Mommy and Daddy bought Aurora a Raggedy Ann doll for today and Grammie bought her a new Tutu! She was THRILLED. Jackson has been my helper boy today and thinks Aurora is a riot today. However, we cannot wait till our "normal" girl is back. The medicine should wear off soon!

***UPDATE***
Missy Moo is fine! My intuition thank goodness was right on! Our girl was negative on everything but a sinus infection! That is VERY good news!

Put me in Coach!

Today was Jacksons last baseball game! It was a great game and he made a couple awesome plays! Today he played second base, short and pitcher! Storms came through and drenched us right before the awards ceremony and picnic--but thank goodness the game was DRY! What a good season he had-- we are so proud of him!

Friends!

My friend Amanda lives across the street and we were thrilled when Ashley came over today with her brother Owen. Aurora LOVES a baby and as you can see does not want to let them go! Get ready little Olive--your cousin is practicing!

The Ballerina

Aurora has been looking forward to ballet for a long time! She was thrilled to get ready to leave. However, when we got there everything felt wrong to her...She complained about her slippers and her tights--she does these things when she is nervous. Right before class started we made a mad dash for the bathroom and took off her tights. I carried her into the room with her face buried in my shoulder. There were many times she looked through the glass to see if we were all still there watching but she LOVE IT! The class went to fast for her and she cannot wait to go back! She was darling and we were so proud of her!

Our Father's Day

Dave had an awesome day! It started as a slow, quiet morning on the deck, and the afternoon packed with fun! We went to the Starbucks downtown, sat with our yummy drinks and played a game of SORRY! outside! The we went to Freiman Square and played! (The kids love it there being in the center of downtown.) David and Aurora suffered minor bumps and bruises while there but still no one wanted to leave. This evening we brought fixens' over to Bob and Judy's for a BBQ with raspberry pie for dessert! Austin was able to meet us there which was great! It is storming outside once again but it was a wonderful day!

Happy Father's Day

On this Father's Day I wish all the Father's in my life a wonderful day!

To my husband who always makes the time to spend a few extra minutes with his kids before he puts them to bed. Who always has time to watch a new trick, a dance, or see a new silly face--and make one in return. He can be stern when he needs to be, soft when it is desired and apologetic if he makes a mistake. He loves his children and their lives are better daily because of his kind words, encouragement, smiles, and guidance.

To my brother who I have always knows will make a child the luckiest in the world by becoming their father. He is a wonderful brother, Uncle, son, husband and now daddy! Happy first Father's Day Will! I am so proud of you! I am so very grateful to have you as my brother.

To my Dad who has taught through example dreams can and will come true through hard work and determination. He always has time for a phone call and always wants to know exactly what the kids are up to. I love him so very much.

To my grandpa who always has a story to tell. A man who worked hard is entire life. I have never seen one person be filled with so much pride as he is of his children and grandchildren. Anyone who knows him, indeed knows everything there is to know about his boys.

And to my stepdad, father in law, brothers in law, and all the fathers I am blessed to have in my life I wish you a Happy Father's Day.

Boys Vs. Girls

Last night we had a blast! We took the kids to race Go Karts! What a hoot! The kids loved every minute of it and we had a blast ourselves!

Our Guitar Hero

We have to give you a taste of what we see almost daily. We have a little guitar hero that lives in the Kulp house. Usually though we get to see him singing, however he got a little camera shy. Maybe next time! Enjoy!

Unwanted Visitors

In the last 24 hours we have had two unwanted visitors come spiraling our way. The storm last night was fierce! Dave made it home from scooping literally just in time. With pizza in hand, walking through the door, the sound of thunder shook the house and BAM! the power went out. I have never seen a storm quite like it. Everything blew sideways and for a second we thought we may end up in Kansas. Pizza by candlelight was fun! However we started shedding clothes after a 90 degree day, no air and after the rain it had become very muggy! We made it through the night and somewhere around 5 am the power returned--a wide awakening for all of us!

Then this morning I was reading at my island in the kitchen and I was startled by a BIRD! Yes a bird was in my kitchen. Unbelievable! After screaming like a child Dave came to my rescue and shooed it out the door.

Finally, it is quiet in the Kulp house. (If you consider 3 kids and 4 dogs running through the house quiet.)

Summer has Arrived!

Maybe not according to the calender but in Indiana it is HOT! It is over 90 and we are doing our best to beat the heat! Friends have been in and out of the pool with the kids all day and popsicles are being eaten like they are going out of style!

Just Me & My Girl

Just the girl and I went to the zoo last week. She loves a pony and pleaded to ride one. Somehow, she thinks she might get one for her next birthday--or a unicorn--she is not sure which yet!
